How much clearance is required to deliver a 40ft container?
Because the truck and trailer combination is extremely long, we require a minimum of 100 to 120 feet of unobstructed, straight-line clearance to safely slide the 40ft container off the trailer. We also need 16 feet of vertical clearance.
Do you transport loaded 40ft containers?
Absolutely not. For strict DOT weight compliance, highway safety, and to prevent catastrophic damage to our tilt-bed hydraulic winches, we only transport completely empty 40ft containers.
